"I am a classroom teacher who routinely spends 6 to 8 hours every day standing on a tiled floor. The years of doing so have taken a toll on my feet. In June of 2007 my right foot had become so painful I couldn't walk more than a 100 yards without unbearable pain. It was so bad I scheduled an appointment with a podiatrist thinking "not another surgery" or rehab on my feet. He x-rayed my feet and found arthritis in my arches. His recommendation was to buy over-the-counter insoles to support my fallen arches. They worked, but didn't last long. I had to replace them every couple of months.
